Minor — Pentacles
Page of Pentacles
A young red-haired woman, the heroine's braid over her shoulder, raises a golden pentacle between thumb and forefinger — but her gaze reaches into the distance, beyond the coin. Against her side, the closed Book is held close. The Page of Pentacles is the study of value: holding the concrete without being confined by it.
Symbolic reading
The braid forms the bridge: it is the face of the suit beginning again — every generation resumes the apprenticeship of Earth with its first gesture. Tradition freezes its Page in contemplation of the pentacle; the DAL lifts her eyes: she holds the pentacle, but looks towards the horizon — value is not in the coin, but in what the coin will make possible. The setting places her exactly at the threshold: on one side the ploughed field, structure; on the other, young vines, the living — learning Earth means learning to hold both. And the Book has left the ground of the numbered cards: still closed, but carried against her side — knowledge has become a travelling companion before becoming a master.
Reversed reading
Study goes astray: the coin examined too closely, the horizon lost, premature materialism — or the first pentacle squandered, teaching more than ten earned.
