The DAL Tarot is an original 80-card tarot deck created by Didier Landois: 24 Major Arcana arranged as a double octave, and four suits of Minor Arcana.

This project does not aim to modernise the Tarot de Marseille or to correct the Rider-Waite-Smith. It treats these two traditions as witnesses to the same symbolic reality and proposes a coherent third reading — one in which every visual or narrative choice must reinforce meaning rather than merely create an effect.

A common thread runs through almost every card in the deck: a Book whose form changes from one card to the next, while its function remains the same — knowledge that is carried, closed, partly opened, before finally being read in full. This Book is the Tarot itself, within its own fiction.

This site presents all 80 cards, their reading guides, and several interactive tarot spreads for exploring the deck. It is a personal project, pursued with rigour and passion, and still evolving — new features and refinements will continue to enrich the site over time.
