Minor — Cups
Page of Cups
Seated at the edge of a basin framed by elegant columns, a young woman contemplates the water, the Book resting on her lap. A fish is engraved on her cup. The Page of Cups is the apprentice of the heart: the one who learns to listen to what lives within.
Symbolic reading
After the wild waters of the numerals — current, cave, tears — here is water civilised: a basin, columns, a terrace. Emotional experience has become a place of study. She is neither immersed nor separated from the water: she sits exactly at the edge — the right distance for beginning a dialogue with her inner world. Tradition makes a fish leap from the cup, a spectacular apparition; the DAL engraves it on the cup itself: intuition does not burst forth, it is listened to. And the Book on her lap, neither open nor neglected: a personal companion, available for consultation at any moment — knowledge made familiar before it is mastered.
Reversed reading
Listening goes awry: emotion overflowing or sensitivity muzzled, daydreaming replacing study — or the inner message finally welcomed as a friend.
