Minor — Cups
Seven of Cups
In a cave, seven cups float suspended — all identical. Their reflections reverse themselves; reality and dream become blurred. On the ground, closed, the Book waits. The Seven of Cups is the vertigo of possibilities: when everything is offered, nothing is chosen.
Symbolic reading
Tradition fills each cup here with a different symbol — treasure, dragon, crown; the DAL does something more unsettling: seven perfectly identical cups. The illusion is no longer in the content of the choices, but in their apparent equivalence — when everything seems equal, how can one will anything? The inverted reflections complete the trap: one no longer knows what is seen and what is projected. And wisdom is there, literally at her feet: the closed Book, neglected in favour of visions. The card does not condemn dreaming; it reminds us of its price — while one contemplates possibilities, reality waits on the ground.
Reversed reading
The mist lifts or thickens: one choice finally stands out from the others, the hand lowers towards the Book — or one settles into the cave, spectator of one's own life.
