Minor — Wands
Two of Wands
On a promontory, a man in a straw hat looks out over his plain, one hand at his temple: he sees what does not yet exist. Below, a ploughman and his oxen are already cutting the first furrows. The Two of Wands is vision becoming a project.
Symbolic reading
The Book rests against the stool, within easy reach: consulted, it has become a working reference — the revelation of the forge has become method. On the unrolled parchment, a compass rose: every direction is considered before a single one is taken. And the project is not a dream — the oxen are already ploughing. The true boldness of the Two is not to contemplate the world from above: it is to begin while still contemplating it.
Reversed reading
The vision spins its wheels: plans without furrows, or furrows without a plan — the impulse is lost in calculation, or the hand leaves the temple too soon.
