Minor — Wands
Ace of Wands
In a vast forge, a young apprentice reaches towards a Book hovering at the heart of the flames — and the fire does not burn it: it illuminates it. The Ace of Wands is the founding spark: a calling revealing itself.
Symbolic reading
The gold-covered Book radiates its own light in the midst of the fire — knowledge is not consumed by the flames; it is born from them. A glowing leafy branch emerges from it: this fire carries life within it; it will make things grow. In the shadows, the anvil and tongs wait — the calling received will have to be forged, the impulse will have to become work. Seen from behind, the apprentice lends us his place: the Book shines towards us as well. The Ace of Wands promises nothing — it calls.
Reversed reading
The spark that leads nowhere: enthusiasm that flares and dies, a calling heard but never forged — or a hand reached out too soon towards a fire one is not yet ready to hold.
