Minor — Swords
Four of Swords
This is not defeat, but a chrysalis: the Four of Swords is rest that transforms. The sleeper rests, the Book beside him reflects the light, and the magpie, perched on his head, whispers into his sleep.
Symbolic reading
The place is guarded: a sword keeps watch at the threshold, protecting this sleep of transformation — one does not sleep here to escape, but to moult. Above, three swords arranged as a pyramid focus their energy towards the resting figure itself. The closed Book catches and reflects the light: knowledge works even when it is not being read. And the magpie whispers in the sleeper's ear — guidance passes through dreams when waking consciousness can no longer hear it.
Reversed reading
Rest is refused or goes on too long: exhaustion denied, agitation preventing the transformation — or sleep becoming a hiding place one no longer wants to leave.
