Major Arcana

The Sun

Two figures stand before a low wall, in full light. Together, they raise a standard on which an open Book shines — a red quill writes in it by itself, with no hand to guide it. Above them, a serene-faced sun radiates at full strength. This card announces clarity, joy, and a truth that speaks for itself.

Symbolic reading

The Sun is the card of certainty restored. After the doubts and illusions of The Moon, everything becomes clear again: what was sensed in the shadows is finally confirmed in full light. The two figures no longer carry the weight of a secret — together, they display it without fear or reserve. Knowledge is no longer an intimate burden: it becomes a joy to share. The quill writing without a hand to hold it says something simple: at this stage, truth no longer needs someone to carry it or explain it — it states itself, as naturally as light illuminates. The four sunflowers around them remind us that this clarity touches every dimension of life — the fire of action, the water of the heart, the air of thought, the earth of the tangible.

Reversed reading

Reversed, the light blinds more than it illuminates. Forced optimism, a façade of joy, or fear of showing what one truly holds. A delay in coming out of the shadows, difficulty celebrating a success that has nevertheless been earned — or a truth one claims to have grasped when it still remains to be written.
