Major Arcana
The Magician
A mature man stands behind a three-legged table in a garden of red roses and white lilies. His right hand, raised towards the light, holds a radiant wand; his left hand points towards the earth. Above his head floats a luminous lemniscate, suspended in the sky. A belt in the form of a serpent biting its own tail encircles his waist. On the table, an open Grimoire radiates golden light, surrounded by the four instruments — cup, sword, wand, pentacle — orbiting in perfect harmony. Beneath the table, roots plunge into the earth. This card announces fully realised mastery and the power to act in full awareness.
Symbolic reading
The Magician is no longer the one who learns; he is the one who knows — not through theory, but through the experience of an entire journey travelled. His gesture links heaven and earth: one hand receives the light, the other transmits it to the world, without any force being lost between the two. The open Grimoire before him is no longer an object he consults: he has become its living embodiment, now carrying within himself everything the Book contains. The four instruments, once scattered, now arrange themselves around him with quiet inevitability. This card speaks of coherence: the deep accord between what one thinks, what one says, and what one does — the word that creates because it has become lived truth.
Reversed reading
Reversed, this energy does not disappear: it turns inward or falls out of alignment. Knowledge that is not yet fully integrated, an underestimated talent, words that lose their power because they are no longer aligned with action. A will that seeks to control rather than to serve. The tools are still there, but their harmony becomes fragile — less a call to give up than an invitation to recover the axis linking heaven, earth, and the heart of the Grimoire.
