Minor — Swords
Ace of Swords
The Ace of Swords cuts through: a new thought, a truth coming into focus, a decision that settles the matter. And from this very first card, the great Book of the suit appears — closed, resting on an altar of clouds, indicated by a magpie.
Symbolic reading
Everything begins with a revelation: the gold-covered Book is shown before it is understood, closed upon its altar of clouds. The perched magpie points to it with its beak — it will accompany the journey, the persistent messenger of everything that follows. The naked sword speaks of the power of the mind in its purest state: it can open a path or wound, depending on the hand that takes it up. The Ace gives the tool, never the instructions.
Reversed reading
Clarity becomes clouded: a forced idea, a truth wielded like a weapon, a decision made too hastily. Or the tool remains on the altar — one has seen, but not grasped.
